Organization Basics

Sasquatch Trailblazers is a Council-Wide network, designated as a Service Unit. Service Units normally serve a geographic area, in our case our Service Unit will serve an Interest Area across all of Girl Scouts of Western Washington.

Troops and Groups will be issued a Troop Number, especially for registration, paperwork, and banking. Sasquatch Trailblazer Troops and Groups are encouraged to name themselves with fun and accuracy. Troops and Group numbers all begin with (insert).

The Sasquatch Trailblazer Service Unit has a Service Unit Manager and Business Manager/Treasurer (more positions may open up with group expansion). Troops and Groups submit receipts and records to the Sasquatch Trailblazer Service Unit Business Manager.

Travel applications and forms are submitted to (insert)

Event registration have the option to be managed by Girl Scouts of Western Washington OR Sasquatch Playground, depending on what is most appropriate.

Sasquatch Trailblazer Service Unit will keep a database of Girl Scouts earning their Trailblazer Award.

Managed by Google Apps

Sasquatch Trailblazers is organized using the Google Apps. Trainings for using this technology can be found in the Toolbox.

Volunteers are required to have a Gmail or Non-Gmail Google Account.

Each Sasquatch Trailblazer Adventure Patrol will receive a Google Drive Folder. This is where Volunteers will upload and store documents.

For security, Volunteers must be logged into their Gmail or Non-Gmail Google Account in order to see the private documents.

Finances and Money Earning

Product Sales

Sasquatch Trailblazers may participate in Fall Product and Cookie Sales with their Adventure Patrol, primary Girl Scout Troop, or as a Juliette. Please work in partnership with all parties to find an equitable solution that sets up all groups to win.

Cookie Dough

Sasquatch Trailblazers/Sasquatch Playground accepts Cookie Dough for most Adventures. Once that credit has been applied it cannot be transferred to any other event/activity. The exception to this is if the adventure itself is cancelled by the coordinator of the event.
